WE ARE THE HOST COURSE

The We Are The Host Course is planned with the aim of producing and retaining a competent tourism industry work force capable of providing customer service of world-class standards.


Providing friendly service is essential to create a good and lasting impression on customers. We Are The Host (previously known as Mesra Malaysia Course) encourages Malaysians to constantly extend quality customer service and to treat customers in a polite, amiable and professional manner at all times.



This one-day seminar is open to Tourism Training Institutions, Front Liners, Tour Companies, Hotel and Resort Operators, Tourism & Hospitality Students etc.


It is conducted by instructors who are specially trained by Ministry Of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia (MOTAC)


At the end of the one-day course, each participant will be given a We Are The Host Certificate from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia.

TRAVEL & TOURS ENHANCEMENT COURSE (TTEC)


TTEC is open to all Travel Agents in Malaysia that are renewing their business license.

PTMC is one of the Tourism Training Institute accredited by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia to organise this course.

The certificate of participation of this course will be released by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture itself.


The Course Contents :


Unit 1 : Aligning Towards MTTP 2020:36:168 
Unit 2 : Avoiding Common Licensing Offences - Case Studies
Unit 3 : The Travel Business Law - Best Practices
Unit 4 : Ensuring The Safety and Security of Tourists
Unit 5 : Current Trends & Issues In The Tourism Industry

LICENSED TOURIST GUIDE COURSE (LEVEL 3)


Licensed Tourist Guide Course students will be provided with the intensive practical trainings throughout the course. We, in PTMC will ensure all students have the best learning experience and help them to improve their communication skill so that it is relevant to the course context.

The practical training includes coach trainings and inbound tour. The students will have the opportunity to visit other states in Malaysia. This tourism course offered by PTMC will allow the students to GAIN KNOWLEDGE WHILE TRAVELLING!


QUALIFICATION

  • Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with : 
    • minimum passes of SIX (6) subjects in one examination 
    • pass Bahasa Malaysia paper 
  • Certificates, diplomas and degrees obtained must be approved and recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia.
  • Malaysian
  • 18 years old and above (no age limit)

  • We Are The Host Course is a compulsory one (1) day course to be attended before obtaining the Tourist Guide licence from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia

COURSE SCHEDULE

Theory classes:
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Practical classes:
  • Saturday or Sunday (twice a month)
  • a full day / half day tour/trip
